About the role

We're looking for a Growth Marketing Lead, Performance to own paid acquisition and drive broader growth in the business. As a member of a lean and hands-on team, you'll manage our entire paid portfolio across paid social, search, and emerging channels, and work closely with the Head of Marketing to continue building and scaling Garage’s growth machine.

The ideal candidate is someone who balances analytical rigor with the understanding that the biggest growth drivers happen outside the ad account.

 - Own Garage’s paid acquisition strategy and execution across paid social, paid search, and emerging channels, with accountability for pipeline, revenue growth, and efficiency.

 - Scale acquisition efficiently by balancing growth, CAC, and overall marketplace health. Understand what changes at scale and make disciplined decisions around where to invest.

 - Test and learn, constantly. You will develop hypotheses, test, and iterate fast. You’ll orchestrate landing page and conversion rate tests, analyze creative performance, and think creatively about new ways to acquire customers efficiently.

 - Measure rigorously, act intuitively. You read between the lines and see the bigger picture in the numbers. You understand incrementality, multi-touch attribution, and test design, yet are comfortable navigating when data is incomplete or ambiguous.

 - Work cross-functionally to identify and unlock growth opportunities beyond paid acquisition, partnering closely with Sales, Product, Operations, and Marketing.

About the role

As Accounting Lead, you will own the accounting foundation for Garage as we scale a transaction-heavy marketplace across essential industries. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll partner closely with the Finance Lead to keep the books accurate, the close reliable, and the accounting operations ready for the next stage of growth.



In this role, you will

 - Own Garage’s books in QuickBooks Online, including accurate financial statements, account reconciliations, and month-end close.

 - Lead GAAP accrual accounting across AP, AR, payroll coordination, vendor payments, expenses, sales commissions, and related workflows.

 - Reconcile marketplace transactions, payments, settlements, and funds movement across internal systems and external partners.

 - Build and improve accounting processes, close calendars, review routines, documentation, and controls that can scale with the business.

 - Partner with the Finance Lead to provide clean, reliable accounting inputs for planning, reporting, and business decision-making.

 - Identify and resolve accounting operations issues quickly, bringing structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous workflows.

 - Help Garage prepare for future audits, diligence requests, systems upgrades, and a more mature accounting function as the company grows.



What we're looking for

Required

 - 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally including ownership of accounting operations in a lean or high-growth environment.

 - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

 - Strong experience with QuickBooks Online and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

 - Strong knowledge of GAAP accrual accounting, including AP, AR, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement management.

 - Excellent reconciliation skills across multiple bank accounts, payment flows, systems, and vendors.

 - Ability to build, document, and improve accounting processes rather than only execute existing ones.

 - Strong organizational judgment and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple accounting workstreams at once.

 - Comfort operating in ambiguity and taking ownership in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.



Nice to have

 - CPA or CPA-track.

 - Experience in marketplaces, fintech, payments, lending, or other transaction-heavy businesses.

 - Experience at an early-stage startup or on a finance/accounting team of fewer than five people.

 - Experience preparing for audits, diligence requests, or stronger internal controls.

About the role

As Strategic Finance Lead, you will build the financial operating system that helps Garage scale a transaction-heavy marketplace with speed, discipline, and clarity. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll partner with the founders and functional leaders on the company’s most important decisions: where to invest, how to grow efficiently, how to measure marketplace health, and how to allocate capital as the business expands.

This is a hands-on finance role for someone who wants to sit close to the business. You will own forecasting, planning, metrics, cash visibility, and investor-ready reporting, while partnering closely with the Senior Accountant to make sure clean actuals flow into the right operating decisions. The goal is not to add bureaucracy. The goal is to give Garage a sharper financial model, better decision-making cadence, and a clearer view of what drives durable growth.

Required

 - 5+ years experience in strategic finance, FP&A, finance and strategy, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, business operations, or a finance role at a high-growth company.

 - Strong financial modeling skills, including the ability to build forecasts, scenario analyses, unit economics models, and cash-flow projections from scratch.

 - Strong understanding of startup operating metrics such as revenue growth, GMV, take rate, gross margin, contribution margin, burn, runway, CAC, payback, and operating leverage.

 - Experience partnering with senior leaders on budgets, headcount planning, resource allocation, performance reporting, or strategic initiatives.

 - Strong analytical judgment and comfort working with imperfect data across spreadsheets, dashboards, and operational systems.

 - Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn financial analysis into clear recommendations.
